General regulations
CoSID OPEN 2026 will be conducted in accordance with the Danish Solo Ice Dance Rules and Requirements 2025/26.
Event Requirements
The competition will follow the Danish rules for solo ice dance:

Scale of Values
Events offered will be:
Solo Basic Novice OPEN - 1 Pattern Dance and 1 Free Dance
Solo Intermediate Novice OPEN - 1 Pattern Dance and 1 Free Dance
Solo Advanced Novice OPEN 1 - Pattern Dance and 1 Free Dance
The Pattern Dances will be skated prior to the Free Dance.
Technical Requirements
Advanced Novice OPEN: - Quickstep (2 Sequences) - Free Dance (2”20 +/- 10 sec)
Intermediate Novice OPEN: - European Waltzz (2 Sequences) - Free Dance (1”50 +/- 10 sec)
Basic Novice OPEN: - Tango Canasta (2 Sequences) - Free Dance (1”30 +/- 10 sec)
